Originally inspired by Florida landscapes, the TN has since been reimagined countless times for different cities and tastes. Now, Nike and Foot Locker put the spotlight on the UK with the Nike TN ‘Manchester’, a design rooted in the heart and history of one of Britain’s most dynamic urban centres.

Unlike a generic colourway drop, the Manchester edition brings local identity onto the sneaker itself. The colour palette – deep black with chalk, baroque brown and linen accents – echoes Manchester’s industrial grit and the city’s long heritage in music, sport and culture. Subtle nods to local identity are woven into the design, including the city’s telephone area code ‘0161’ and Manchester bee motifs tucked into the tongue, celebrating unity and resilience. Campaign imagery features Manchester City star Phil Foden, reinforcing the connection to a city with its own modern athletic legends.

In its construction, the Nike TN ‘Manchester’ stays true to everything sneakerheads love about the Air Max Plus: aggressive lines, visible Air units for that signature Tuned Air cushioning experience, and a design language that’s as expressive as it is comfortable. This edition translates the city’s energy into wearable form. The bold black base offers a canvas for striking accent colours that nod to both heritage and street aesthetics, while honeycomb motifs and embroidery give the sneaker storytelling depth beyond surface trends.
